Vanessa Chan, '05 (Speaker)

Vanessa has over 15+ years of experience in the tech industry. Most recently, she was the Head of Corporate Strategy for North Asia at ServiceNow. Before joining ServiceNow, Vanessa held executive positions at various technology companies, including Head of Go-to-Market Strategy and Operations for Google Cloud in North Asia, Vice President of Business Development for Asia Pacific at IGT, the leading technology and content provider for all regulated gaming segments, and Vice President of the Customer Office, SAP, Greater China.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Vanessa holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She attended Wychwood School, Oxford, UK, for high school.

In her free time, Vanessa is passionate about animal rights and providing the general public with mental health and well-being tools and knowledge. Vanessa is a member of the Executive Committee of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Hong Kong. She is also a certified yoga and meditation instructor who runs pro-bono yoga and meditation classes. She has introduced meditation and mindful walking to hundreds of students through her popular meditative hike classes in Hong Kong and Singapore. She frequently speaks about women in tech, AI diversity, and mental health. She grew up beside the famous Maclehose Trail in Sai Kung and is an avid trail runner.
