This month's historic election challenged assumptions and left many of Americans with questions. Join fellow alumni from Harris Public Policy and the Law School to debrief.We'll unpack critical issues surrounding election infrastructure, voter turnout, and the future of American politics. This is a unique opportunity to hear from experts in multiple sectors and network with peers, classmates, and colleagues.

Speaker Profiles

Lisa Ellman, JD/MPP '05 (Moderator)

Lisa is widely recognized as one of the nation's "top legal minds" in emerging technologies, offering a unique perspective and vast experience, helping clients push policy and regulatory boundaries forward safely.

Eric Ham, MPP '04 (Speaker)

Eric is a best-selling author and political expert. He anchors the daily news program Firstpost America and is a White House correspondent for the Associated Press. He's also a columnist for Canada's CTV, where writes about U.S. politics. Eric served as a senior staffer in the United States Senate and as the Director of Congressional Relations for the Center of Strategic & International Studies.

Dan Johnson, JD '00 (Speaker)

Dan is a lobbyist, policy developer, co-founder of JurorSearch, and principal of Lobbying for Improvements. He served as a delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Dan helps clients develop their legislative agenda and connects them with state legislators who together work to pass bills into law. Dan has lobbied the Illinois General Assembly since 2003 and consults with advocates and campaigns around the country.
