We will also share tools and best practices to help you throughout your search.

Amy draws on more than two decades of Human Resources and Leadership Development experience in professional and financial services, consumer products, higher education, entrepreneurship, and technology. Her passion is to help individuals see possibility and potential to lead a fulfilling life where they can grow, develop, and flourish. She loves working with Booth students and alumni to help them discover their strengths and define their career goals. Amy is originally from Rochester, NY, and now lives in Northbrook with her husband, two teenagers, and Wheaton terrier.
Julie Thornton (Speaker)

Julie Thornton has spent 25+ years in corporate human resources, executive search, and executive coaching in a number of U.S. markets. She previously worked for Carnegie Mellon University where she was the Executive Coach for the alumni of the Tepper School of Business as well as acted as an Executive Coach for various start-ups in Pittsburgh. She has coached and mentored across all lines of industries and business functions and is known for her listen-first, direct, results-driven approach.
Julie offers her business acumen and coaching expertise to students and alumni who find themselves in an active career transition or contemplating "what's next" — anything from developing networking strategies or career transition plans to helping them handle challenges within their current roles. In addition to coaching, Julie facilitates a variety of career programs, and liaises with Booth Pride, Graduate Women in Business and the Booth Healthcare Club student groups.
Born and raised in the Midwest and having spent 20 years in Chicago, Julie is a tried-and-true Bulls and Cubs fan, a connector of people, and an avid runner. She has run multiple Chicago marathons and many half marathons. After spending seven years in Pittsburgh, Julie now resides back in the City of Chicago with her husband and two children. Julie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Purdue University.
