Event Details
The Capital Area Food Bank's volunteer community is one of the organization's most important resources. Each year, volunteers save the food bank millions of dollars while helping to feed the DMV community. On Saturday September 9th, we have the opportunity to pack food in the distribution center, fill boxes for senior citizens in our community, or pack and sort items for distribution. Our sorted and boxed foods will be distributed in the community through partner organizations. Martha's Table, DC Central Kitchen, So Others Might Eat and other partners will receive these donated foods and feed those in need in our community.

Other Information
Capital Area Food Bank requires all volunteers to be fully vaccinated against the COVID 19 virus. Each volunteer will need to complete and sign the COVID Waiver. Please bring hard copies of the waiver or wait to complete your waiver when you arrive. (The organization does not have the facilities to handle waivers forwarded electronically.
Capital Area Food Bank policy requires that volunteers between the ages of 12 and 17 be accompanied by an adult chaperone. The chaperone will register at https://volunteer.capitalareafoodbank.org , sign up for a date to volunteer and supervise the young volunteer(s) during the shift. Only the adult volunteer will register
