Speaker Profiles

Jenifer A. Aronson, CFA (Speaker) '97

Jenifer is the Founder and Managing Partner of Mosaic Fi. From 2005 to 2012 she worked with family offices and ultra high net worth individuals advising them on their investment portfolios, tax and estate planning and other financial related matters. She began her career at the Northern Trust Company in Chicago in 1991 where she started in their Trust department and later became a fixed income trader. From 1995 to 1998, Jenifer was a portfolio manager for the fixed income team at UBS Brinson Partners in Chicago. From 1998 to 2005 Jenifer was a fixed income portfolio manager at Northern Trust Global Investments in Chicago. During her tenure, she also managed the fixed income trading desk. Jenifer has her MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and her BS in Business from the University of Arizona. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and an active member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. Jenifer is on the Board of Directors for the CFA Society of Chicago and a member of the Women's Steering Committee.

Lauren Patnaude (Speaker) '11

Lauren Patnaude is a Managing Director at BDT & Company, responsible for the execution of both investments and advisory assignments. Prior to joining BDT, Lauren was a Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group focused on corporate strategy work. She previously was an Associate in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs in Chicago, an Analyst in the Mergers Leadership Group at Goldman Sachs in New York, and began her career at UBS. Lauren is a board observer of Lou Malnati's Pizzeria. Lauren received a BA in Economics and History from Yale University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Dipa Mehta (Speaker) '12

Dipa was formerly a Managing Director at Sandbox Industries, a Chicago-based venture capital firm. Dipa focused her time on investing in healthcare innovation through the BlueCross BlueShield Venture Funds, a collaborative investment platform with over $575 million in capital and 30 Blue Plans participating. Prior to Sandbox, Dipa was at Amgen Ventures, the corporate venture fund of Amgen. At Amgen, Dipa worked closely with the global commercial and marketing organizations to identify companies in the digital health space for their products. Previously, she held positions at UBS in the Global Healthcare Investment Banking group and the Healthcare Fund at Paul Capital Partners, which invested in late-stage pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Dipa holds a BS from the New York University Stern School of Business and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she received the Chicago Booth Leadership Award of Distinction. Dipa is also a Kauffman Fellow. She lives in Chicago, IL with her husband and twin baby boys.

Jessica Iverson (Moderator) '12

Jessica Iverson is an independent strategic communications, PR and brand marketing consultant with a focus on financial, technology and start-up firm clients. She has more than 17 years of experience supporting public and private organizations in all aspects of communications. Prior to launching her consultancy in 2018, Iverson was Global Head of Brand & Communications for DRW, a diversified financial firm with interests in trading, real estate investment, venture capital and cryptoassets. In that role, she built the company's first ever marketing and communications function, leading corporate and employer brand development, media relations, crisis communications and reputation management, executive communications and positioning, and internal communications.
Iverson previously managed financial and M&A communications at Walgreens Boots Alliance, where she also counseled the Global CFO and General Counsel on executive communications and positioning. Earlier in her career, she served as press secretary and speechwriter for a member of the Wisconsin Governor's cabinet.
Iverson has been a guest lecturer at the Wisconsin School of Business and DePaul University, and she serves as a prospective student ambassador with The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Public Relations Society of America, where she serves on the Executive Committee for the Independent Practitioners Alliance. Iverson is an active volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness Chicago and New Moms.
Iverson graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism & Mass Communication and holds an MBA in Finance, Marketing and Strategic Management from Booth.
