Resort Information

The Tux Valley (Tuxer Tal) includes two major skiing resorts, the Hintertux Glacier and the Penken area. Hintertux is the last village in the Tux Valley, which ends at the ground station of the Hintertuxer Gletscherbahn:

This resort is a training area of the Austrian National Ski Equipe and reaches up to 3250 m altitude. The main skiing area is on the glacier and thus snow proof in winter and summer. In March one often experiences lots of fresh powder snow. However, the main slopes are always well prepared. The ground station is easily reached by the free shuttle bus of the hotel.

From Hintertux you also get easily to the Penken Ski Resort using the Eggalm-Bahn or the Rastkogel-Bahn. You get to their ground stations quickly by free public busses. and>
