So you'd like to be on a corporate board...
For those of you who are interested in joining a corporate board, now or in the future, this event will offer guidance on how you can raise your visibility for consideration and the value of serving in the first place. Our speakers are two women who have been trailblazers in their careers. One is a Booth alumna who is currently active on several boards, the other is head of the North American Board Practice for Spencer Stuart.
The event will be held at Gurjot New York. Gurjot Sidhu '93 is a Booth alumna who designs and sells luxury businesswear for women. It will be moderated by Cindy Machles '82, CEO of Glue Advertising. Space is limited so reserve early.

Charlotte Sibley (Speaker) '70
Charlotte Sibley is an alumna of Chicago Booth School of Business with an MBA in marketing and finance. Her board experience includes positions with Taconic Biosciences, Inc., Fort Hill Co, American Pacific Corporation, MindField Solutions, and Galileo Analytics. Charlotte has been a regular lecturer at Columbia University's Executive MBA Program and serves on the Advisory Board of St. Joseph's University Healthcare Executive MBA. Over the course of her career, Charlotte has built and led integrated commercial assessment, insights and analytics groups for Shire, Pharmacia (now Pfizer), Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Millennium Pharmaceuticals (now Takeda Oncology). Charlotte is known for her strategic vision, building and leading teams, and developing and coaching people at all levels of organizations.
Julie Hembrock Daum (Speaker), Spencer Stuart
As the lead of the North American Board Practice of Spencer Stuart, Julie Hembrock Daum has conducted more than 1,000 board director searches, recently recruiting outside directors for Johnson & Johnson, General Electric, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Bank of Montreal, and numerous IPOs and spin-off boards. Julie is regularly quoted in The New York Times, Financial Times, BusinessWeek, Time magazine and The Wall Street Journal and has been selected as one of the 50 Most Influential People in Governance by NACD/Directorship Magazine every year since its inception. She began her career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company in Los Angeles. Julie is a graduate of the Wharton School with an MBA in corporate finance.
