Event Details

This is a high profile, international sailing event that brings together top business men and women from across the world – alumni (and students) of the world's best business schools.

We would like to see alumni and current students represent Chicago Booth on one of the sailing boats, please contact Piero if you are interested and want to learn more.

It is a great sailing event to network with students and alumni of other business schools, sail, party, have fun, enjoy the sunshine and eat great food!

There will be two divisions:

  • Division A racing one design Platu 25 racing boats. Maximum 6 people on board. The boats will be moored at Mikrolimano. Participation fee per division A boat is 2400 euros for 5 people, 2700 euros for 6. This includes three rooms (2 people per room) at hotel in walking distance from Mikrolimano for 3 nights, April 21, 22 & 23.
  • Division B racing boats tbc (approx 40 ft). Maximum 8 people on board. The Boats will be picked up from another marina and be moored at Microlimano. Participation fee per division B boat is 3600 euros.


Wednesday April 20th

Early arrivers arrive in Athens so as to be able to do boat hand overs on Thursday morning. Will need to pay for additional day of hotel if needed. Possible extra day's practice for additional fee.

Thursday April 21st
Arrive in Athens.

Boats available as of the morning for teams to practice. A Division boat check-in at Mikrolimano. B Division boat check in at Kalamaki. Delivery of B Division boats to Microlimano. Evening cocktail party at the harbour in the evening of April 21st to welcome all sailors

Friday April 22nd
1st day of races, Friday, April 22nd: Opening Ceremony in the morning, followed by breakfast, skippers briefing, interviews from media and crew photo sessions. Informal dinner for sailors and friends in the evening, interactive networking session, with speech by sponsor.

Saturday April 23rd
2nd day of races, Saturday, April 23rd: breakfast session and skippers briefing in the morning. In the evening, formal award ceremony in premium location in Athens, with keynote speaker from the Grand Sponsor and London Business School representative, in the presence of distinguished guests, businessmen and athletes, Followed by formal dinner and entertainment.

Sunday April 24th
Delivery of B Division boats to home marina. Hand Back of boats.
Return home.
