Event Details

Kantar Media estimated that in-game advertising expenditures for Super Bowl LIII reached $382 million in 2019, making 2017-19 the top three years for ad spending in the game's history. We can only imagine what 2020 will look like!

Nevada sports books took $146 million in Super Bowl wagers in 2019 – a tiny fraction of the $6 billion bet on the game, most of it illegal. However, legal betting has become a $10 billion annual industry after the Supreme Court reversed a U.S. wagering ban in 2018.

Join advertising executive and entrepreneur Cindy Machles (Booth '82) and veteran gaming analyst Brian Egger (Booth '92) as they discuss the highlights and dramatic recent developments of Super Bowl advertising and sports betting.

Watch some classic Super Bowl ads, enjoy snacks, soft drinks, beer and swag -- and try to predict the big game's winner and point spread using your Chicago Booth quant skills to win a Super Bowl-themed prize!
