Professor Ira Weiss will share a framework for how we think about accounting in the private markets, and how that differs from public markets.

Professor Weiss plans to discuss this public vs private dynamic, as well as assess todays private fundraising markets.

Professor Weiss is a Clinical professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he received both his MBA ('99) and Ph.D ('01). He also invests in start-ups via the Chicago-based VC firm called Hyde Park Venture Partners.
