Based on his research with senior executives of 150 companies, Rich Horwath developed a methodology for strategic thinking which he explains in his new book Deep Dive: The Proven Method for Building Strategy, Focusing Your Resources, and Taking Smart Action.

Driving Directions:From I-88, take Naperville Road exit which will take you to a "T" at Freedom Drive. Turn south onto Freedom Drive (that is a left turn if coming from the East on I-88). Take Freedom Drive to a "T" at Diehl Road. Turn right onto Diehl Road. Go 2-3 blocks. NIU will be on left, across from the Hampton Inn. Turn left onto driveway at west end of NIU property to park. Rich will discuss the three keys to strategic thinking – acumen, allocation and action – and break them down into simple, attainable skills. Using real life examples, he will give you practical tools to apply every day, providing a clear path for you to master those three disciplines. Armed with this knowledge and these tools, you can become a truly strategic leader in your organization. Rich Horwath is President of the Strategic-Thinking Institute and professor of strategy at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He has authored four books and over 50 articles on strategic thinking. Rich has been profiled in business publications around the world.
