Professor Luis Garicano, AM'95, PhD'98 (Speaker)
Professor of Economics and Strategy at the London School of Economics and Visiting Professor of Econ
Luis Garicano is Professor of Economics and Strategy at the London School of Economics and Visiting Professor of Economics at Chicago Booth. He studies the theoretical and empirical approaches to the economics of organization. His research has earned him a fellowship from the Center for Economic Policy Research in London, as well as a Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fellowship in Madrid. Luis has also worked as an economist for the Commission of the European Union. Luis obtained his B.A.in Economics and Law at the Universidad de Valladolid, an M.A. at College of Europe and an M.A. and Ph.D.in Economics at the University of Chicago.

Philippe Ledent is a Senior Economist at ING Belgium and a visiting lecturer at IESEG, ICHEC, the Catholic University of Louvain and Chambre Belge des Comptables. He is a columnist for Trends Tendance and writes two columns per month for them. Philippe is finishing his thesis for his PhD in Economics this summer at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.
