Event Details

Three investment professionals will present their views of the upcoming year on Wall Street and share their best investment ideas for 2013. Awards for the top performance in 2012 will be presented to the winning amateur and professional. We will collect your picks for 2013 to see who can amass the best return with a $100,000 (monopoly money) portfolio and we will pick a dartboard portfolio.

J. Cannon Carr (Speaker)
Chief Investment Officer, CornerCap Investment Counsel

Cannon is our Chief Investment Officer. He leads our weekly investment committee and is lead analyst for Consumer Discretionary, Technology and Telecom sectors. He joined CornerCap in June 2007, after being a client for over seven years. Prior to joining CornerCap, Cannon was a senior equity analyst at CIBC World Markets (formerly Oppenheimer), covering IT business services (2006-07), wireless services (2001-05), and emerging telecom (1998-05). Cannon has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Princeton University in Political Economy.

John Crawford, CFA (Speaker)
Director Equity Investments, Crawford Investment Counsel

John oversees the firm's proprietary equity strategies and leads our equity research process. In addition to leading investment committee meetings and to supervising our team of dedicated equity analysts he conducts stock specific research. John serves as a portfolio manager on a select number of client portfolios. He joined the firm in 1990. Mr. Crawford began his career in the investment industry at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in 1988. He received his BBA degree from the University of Georgia and his Master of Finance from Georgia State University.
