Driving Directions:

DCCK is located closest to Waterfront Metro Station (Green Line). There is also a metro bus (Bus 74) that runs between the Waterfront station and directly in front our facility. Colonial Parking Lot located on-site ($25 Daily ) The James Creek Marina Parking Lot ($20 Daily) Bike Racks are located onsite if guests would like to transport via bicycle (Each guest would have to provide own locks to lock bike).

Event Details

DC Central Kitchen (DCCK) is an iconic nonprofit and social enterprise that combats hunger and poverty through job training and job creation. DC Central Kitchen volunteers work alongside our devoted front-line staff and Culinary Job Training students to cut, chop, peel and prep fresh produce as we prepare balanced meals for our community. No cooking or food service experience required! Volunteers must be 12 or older, and sign a General Liability and Waiver form. Those under the age of 18 are required to have a parent/legal guardian sign the waiver form.

After DCCK, there is an optional lunch at The Point DC. Please contact host Tosin Olusola to sign up for lunch by Friday May 24th

Dress Code: All volunteers must wear appropriate and professional attire suitable for an industrial production kitchen. Please wear closed toed shoes, sleeves, and long pants. Shoes with high-grip soles are strongly recommended. Due to health regulations, volunteers who do not follow this dress code will not be allowed to work in the Kitchen. Appropriate Attire - Long pants (no leggings, no shorts), Closed toe shoes, No tank or halter tops, Hair must be up and out of face. (We will provide hair nets.), Masks are not required; however, they will be available for those who would prefer to wear them.

Step 1: Create your account in our Volunteer Portal using the registration link above.

Step 2: Please select "Create an Account for Group Registration."

Step 3: Follow the correct prompts to proceed. When you choose "Type of Volunteer Experience" be sure to select Corporate/Organization. Then search for your group "Chicago Booth Alumni Club of Washington, DC" in the portal.

Step 4: Continue to fill in the additional requested information.

Step 5: Digitally sign our General Liability and Waiver form. Note: The COVID-19 Vaccine Attestation form is optional.

Final step: Select the "Events" tab at the top of the screen or go to the calendar to view shifts and then select June 29: 9am – 12pm shift. In the top right-hand corner, you will see a "sign up" button. Then click the button to sign up. You are signed up and all set. Please let Tosin Olusola know if anyone has any issues with signing up.
