Chicago Booth Alumni of Los Angeles and Orange County proudly present a new virtual event series: How the Pandemic is Affecting Industry, a roundtable of alumni industry insights.
Event Details
Exploring the topic of "How the Pandemic is Affecting Industry" this new series will start with a focus on the impact for Small Business and Healthcare on Wed, May 6 at 5 pm PT.
With the robust diversity of industry that we have in Southern California, we want to talk directly to our alumni about how the pandemic has impacted local companies, their industry and their professional worlds. It is fascinating to see how dramatic and fast these changes have been, and what the future may hold.
The first conversation will feature alumni who work in some the leading industries in Los Angeles: telehealth, biotech, small business and cannabis.
Specific topics to be covered by our panelists are:
- Healthcare and HealthTech - Diana Yan, '15
- Funding for Biotech - Will DeGroot, '08
- Small business loans - Christopher Howland, '14
- Entrepreneurship and Cannabis - John Rhoads, '06
Each panelist will be given 10 minutes to discuss how COVID has affected their industry, company, and how they are responding.
Q&A: our moderator and Los Angeles club co-president Mike Vermillion, '90, will be taking questions from the audience. Attendees will be able to submit questions beforehand or via the chat feature.
