About the Speaker:
Hap Klopp is the co-founder of the iconic brand, The North Face, a Stanford graduate, and a serial entrepreneur. Klopp consults around the globe and lectures on entrepreneurship – particularly entrepreneurship as it is found in Silicon Valley. He is the author of two previous books on business, including the acclaimed leadership book, Conquering The North Face: An Adventure in Leadership.

Klopp holds an AB and MBA from Stanford University. He has lectured at the business schools of Stanford, University of California, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, University of San Francisco, and a number of international universities. He has been profiled on national television and in such publications as BusinessWeek, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, and Inc.

About the Interviewer:
Melissa Harris is the vice president of marketing at Origin Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm that is working to make it as easy to invest in privately-held commercial real estate online as it is in stocks and bonds. Prior to joining Origin, where she oversees its entire crowdfunding platform, she was a Pulitzer Prize-nominated business columnist at the Chicago Tribune. She previously worked as an award-winning metro reporter at The Baltimore Sun and a metro reporter at The Orlando Sentinel. She is currently enrolled in the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, where she is working toward an MBA, and serves on the board of Chicago Dramatists theater company.
