Event Details
The January meeting will focus Leadership, specifically, on the thought processes that make successful leaders different from the rest of the pack. We will explore the topic by through a facilitated discussion of the article “How Successful Leaders Think” from the June 2007 issue of the Harvard Business Review.
The secret to becoming a great leader? Don’t act like one. Instead, think like one. Brilliant leaders excel at integrative thinking. They can hold two opposing ideas in their minds at once. Then, rather than settling for choice A or B, they forge an innovative “third way” that contains elements of both but improves on each.
Please note that these meetings do not present a featured speaker. Be sure to read the article ahead of time and come prepared to join in the discussion, as your participation is key to the success of this event!
Meetings are held on the third Friday of the month in the 11 South LaSalle Building.
Send your ideas for future articles or future topics to Dennis Aust at dennis.aust@chartermast.com or Teresa Seipel at tmseipel@comcast.net. Topics for future meetings are decided on a month-by-month basis.
