On the evening of January 25th, Lawrence Harris will discuss his new book with the New York City alumni community. The book includes revenue and cash flow forecasts of some of the leading companies in sectors such as aerospace, cybersecurity, electric vehicles, enterprise software, semiconductors, smartphones, and video streaming.
In addition, the book discusses concepts such as the S-Curve, the Bass Diffusion Model, the Icarus Paradox, and the Bullwhip Effect, all of which are helpful in generating forecasts. Speaker Profiles
Lawrence Harris (Speaker) '78
Lawrence Harris is an experienced financial analyst and private investor. He has worked for Rockwell International, a Fortune 100 company; Arthur D. Little, a consulting firm; and several financial services companies, including Oppenheimer & Co.
He was twice named by The Wall Street Journal as one of the Best on the Street Analysts in communications technology, and by Forbes/StarMine as the most accurate earnings estimator in communications equipment. He has been cited on multiple occasions in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Barron's, He also spoke several times at the UCLA Business Forecasting Conference on the outlook for the aerospace industry.
He earned his MBA degree in Finance from the University of Chicago and in 2016, the Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology, at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He has also completed the Oxford Chicago Valuation Programme at the University of Oxford.
