Join us in London on 30 November 2023 for a fireside chat featuring Chicago Booth's Anil K. Kashyap, the Stevens Distinguished Service Professor of Economics and Finance at Chicago Booth and the Rothman Faculty in Residence for Autumn Quarter 2023, and Zanny Minton Beddoes, editor-in-chief of The Economist.
Kashyap and Minton Beddoes will discuss current challenges facing the world's economies and crucial decisions policymakers will need to make in 2023 and beyond. This lifelong learning event will be followed by networking opportunities for attendees. This fireside chat is part of a year-long series of events celebrating Chicago Booth's 125th anniversary.

Zanny Minton Beddoes (Speaker)
Zanny Minton Beddoes is a renowned global economics expert, sought-after for her authoritative perspectives on the world economy. She previously worked at the IMF and as an adviser to the Minister of Finance in Poland.
She is currently editor-in-chief of The Economist, having joined the magazine's staff in 1994. Ms. Minton Beddoes has written extensively about international financial issues including enlargement of the European Union, the future of the International Monetary Fund and economic reform in emerging economies.
Anil K. Kashyap (Speaker)
Anil K. Kashyap is the Stevens Distinguished Service Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
His research focuses on banking, business cycles, corporate finance, financial regulation, monetary policy, and price setting. His research has won him numerous awards, including a Sloan Research Fellowship, the Nikkei Prize for Excellent Books in Economic Sciences, a Senior Houblon-Norman Fellowship from the Bank of England, and the Order of the Rising Sun 3rd class Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon from the Government of Japan.
