The Book..."Assume Guilt"

Garnering great reviews from Chicago TV legend Bill Kurtis and Pulitzer Prize winning author and columnist Clarence Page among others, Assume Guilt by Paul Lisnek is an engaging page-turner!

Chicago-based Attorney and noted jury consultant Matt Barlow vowed he'd never be part of a criminal case again, not after failing to save an innocent man from the death penalty. And Matt doesn't waver on that pledge until...Chicago's top real estate developer and aspiring Gubernatorial politician Charles March and is charged with the death of his socialite wife, Sandra, and loyalty to an old friend pushes Matt into signing on as the jury consultant for the defense. It's a story of political corruption in Illinois (fiction of course even if the players seem familiar types!) with a surprise ending. Unlike most "who-done-it" works of fiction, Lisnek focuses on the work of the trial consultant rather than the usual approach of the lawyers.
