Speaker Profiles

Yves Leysen, '87 (Speaker)
CFO, Letter One

Letter One is an international investment business, led by successful entrepreneurs and former CEOs and international business people. L1's aim is to be the pre-eminent international investment firm. 

Mr. Leysen is Chief Investment Officer of Letter 1 Treasury and a partner at Pamplona Capital Management LLP. 

Previously, Yves was Head of Fixed Income and a member of the Executive Committee of Bear Stearns International Ltd which he joined in 2001. Yves started his career in 1988 at Bankers Trust International and also held senior positions in Credit Suisse and Banque Paribas. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an MSc in Applied economics from the Catholic University of Leuven.

Douglas Trafelet, '02 (Speaker)
Head Online Sales, Moonfare

Moonfare is a technology platform that enables individuals and their advisors to invest in top-tier private equity funds. 

Doug joined Moonfare in 2018. Previously, he was Managing Director of PitchBook Data where he oversaw all aspects of business operations in PitchBook's London office. Prior to joining PitchBook, Douglas spent ten years as one of the founding members of the expert network service Coleman Research. Before Coleman, Trafelet worked at boutique investment bank Barker Capital. He holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Kenyon College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
