David True has been in payments for longer than he wants to admit, with issuers, networks, merchants, processors, and FinTech firms. He's worked in strategy, marketing, new products, operations and finance at companies including American Express and Mastercard; he currently advises several startups.
David is a partner at PayGility Advisors, which helps firms navigate the changing world of payments, and president of NYPAY, where payment leaders and FinTech innovators meet to learn and network. Recent work includes launching a tablet POS system, finding profitable markets for a closed-loop mobile payment platform, and reducing acceptance costs for several merchants.
David has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA from Binghamton University. He has completed coursework at universities in Copenhagen, Denmark and Grenoble, France.

Lance Koonce focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling for clients in the advertising, publishing, music, television/film, fashion, and consumer products fields, and has extensive experience analyzing the implications of emerging technologies. As a litigator, he has 20 years of experience trying complex commercial cases in state and federal court, including jury trials. Lance writes and speaks frequently on IP and technology issues, and is the founder of the Creative Block(chain) blog, which focuses on how blockchain technology intersects with the creative industries.
