Connect with top investment executives, leading economics scholars, and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business community on July 4 to discuss the effectiveness of recent efforts to improve corporate governance in Japan.
Interim Dean and Eric J. Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Accounting Douglas J. Skinner, an expert on corporate finance, joins Andy Saito, chairman of KKR Japan; John Ehara, '78, partner at Unison Capital; and Kenichi Ueda, AM '95, PhD '00 (Economics), associate professor at the Faculty of Economics, the University of Tokyo. These financial experts will explore whether the reforms have been successful and whether they are likely to improve the overall performance of the Japanese economy.
