The Journalists in Residence Program is a transformative learning experience for journalists from around the world who are interested in deepening their understanding of the interactions between politics and the economy.

Application
Pre-tenure and recently tenured scholars from the US and worldwide are encouraged to apply. Completion of all requirements for a Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required at the time of appointment (Fall, 2022)
To be considered for the fellowship, the following items must be submitted through our online application:
- Curriculum vitae
- Cover letter (up to 2 pages) indicating interest
- Research plan (up to 4 pages), includes potential working papers to be developed during the Fellowship and their respective timelines
- One representative writing sample
- One letter of recommendation and one additional separate reference
Dates and Deadlines
The deadline for applications for the Spring 2022 program was Sunday, October 10, 11:59pm Central (Chicago) Time.
Applicants will be notified of final decisions in December.
The Spring 2022 program will run from approximately March 22 - June 4, 2022.
