Health and Safety

For the well-being of our staff and other visitors, please postpone your visit if you feel unwell. Hand sanitizing stations are available. Masks are recommended but not required.

Respect Others

Impermissible conduct includes:

  • Abusive or harmful behavior: Harassing, discriminatory, or threatening statements or behavior toward Mindworks staff or other visitors is prohibited.
  • Disruptive behavior: Creating a disturbance or excessive noise, exhibiting overt signs of intoxication, obstructing foot traffic, soliciting, loitering, political campaigning, or posting of unauthorized materials are all prohibited.
  • Any acts or conduct in violation of federal, state, or local laws, ordinances, or regulations.

Respect the Exhibits and Building

Impermissible conduct includes:

  • Damaging, destroying, or stealing property of Mindworks, its staff, or its visitors.
  • Interacting with exhibits in a disruptive manner, or in a manner which diminishes the experience for other or future visitors.
  • Improperly using restrooms, furniture, and common spaces, including loitering, meetings, or personal grooming.
  • Entering any non-public area without authorization.
  • Bringing animals, except service animals as defined by the ADA, into Mindworks.
  • Consuming food within the space. Covered beverages (e.g. coffee or water with a lid) are permitted, however.
  • Bringing firearms to Mindworks.

Adult Supervision

Mindworks is open to visitors of all ages. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible individual 18 years or older.

Oversized Items

Please do not leave personal possessions unattended. Mindworks does not have storage space for visitors’ personal items and consequently is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen items.

Mindworks reserves the right to restrict large items or other items that pose a safety concern.

Any of these actions may result in the visitor being asked to leave Mindworks. Those who persist and refuse to leave when requested will be subject to their behavior being reported to local law enforcement. Repeat violators are subject to loss of future admission to Mindworks and its events.

Your Safety Matters

If you feel unsafe and/or that you have been the target of harassment or discrimination, please report the issue to Mindworks staff either in the moment or afterward, even if anonymously, so that we can ensure a positive experience for you and other Mindworks visitors.
