Live-Online Program Information

Here, you'll find frequently asked questions regarding our live-online programs.

Please contact us at +1 312.464.8732, or exec.ed@ChicagoBooth.edu if you need assistance.

Q. What is your approach to live-online programs?

A. Our live-online programs are delivered in real-time to create an interactive, high-impact virtual environment where you learn from faculty, industry leaders, and peers. We have thought carefully about the format for these programs. Research shows that short sessions online are more effective than long blocks of time, so we have purposefully created program schedules where you’ll receive Booth's rigorous content in short, digestible sessions held several times each week over multiple weeks. This design helps you fit the program into your busy schedule while also giving you an opportunity to reflect and apply program concepts in between sessions.

Q. Are all live-online programs the same in terms of format and length?

A. The same program design principles apply to all of our live-online programs, but the details will vary. Please refer to the specific program agenda to review the session dates and times. You can also view a high-level schedule by clicking on the “Register now” button, which will take you to a summary page with the program details.

Q. What if I can’t attend one of the live sessions?

A. We strongly encourage you to attend all live sessions. Like an in-person classroom, the more committed each participant is to learning and participating in the moment, the more rich and robust the experience is for everyone. We realize, though, that it may not always be possible to attend all sessions in real-time. If you need to miss a live session, please reach out to your program manager in advance.

Q. What happens once I complete the program?

A. When you successfully complete the program, you will receive a digital certificate of completion, a digital badge credential that you can share among your social networks, access to the Executive Education private LinkedIn group, and a subscription to the Chicago Booth Review—the official publication of the business school.

Similar to our in-person programs, you are expected to actively participate in the live-online program and demonstrate your commitment to learning. You must complete all of the required components as outlined in the handbook for your specific program in order to receive the certificate of completion.

Q. When will I gain access to the course platform and materials?

A. Two weeks prior to the start of the program, you will receive your unique login details to access the course platform. Your program tuition must be paid in full.

Q. How long will I have access to the program materials?

A. All program materials are contained on the course platform, which you can access for as many as 30 days after the program concludes.

Q. What technology do you use to deliver live online programs?

A. The live-online sessions are conducted through Zoom.

Q. How much time can I expect to spend per week?

A. On average, most live-online programs will require 4-6 hours of time each week. Please review the program handbook for specific time commitments. Many of these programs include a combination of live-online sessions with offline activities, projects, and readings to deepen your understanding of the material.

Q. Can I ask a question in the live sessions?

A. Participants will be able to pose questions to the faculty in the live-sessions either via the chat function or raising their hand and voicing the question directly to faculty.

Q. Will I get an opportunity to connect with other participants?

A. Yes. One of the intangible, yet extremely valuable, benefits of attending our live-online programs is the ability to grow your professional network and learn from colleagues. Our programs include peer discussions and chats during the live sessions as well as informal networking opportunities to deepen relationships.

Q. How do I enroll in a live-online program?

A. To enroll, simply complete the registration form on our website. After submitting your registration, you will receive an email confirmation from Chicago Booth Executive Education. If you need assistance, please contact exec.ed@chicagobooth.edu or call +1 312.464.8732.

Q. When should I register?

A. We recommend that you register at least two weeks prior to the first program session to secure your spot and finalize your registration before the course platform login details are shared.

Q. What is the class size goal?

A. Class size is limited to encourage dialogue with faculty and participants.

Q. Is it possible for groups to enroll?

A. Yes, when you send a team, your team members will experience the Chicago Booth approach together while gaining the opportunity to collaborate with each other and learn from global participants who face similar business challenges. Please contact us at exec.ed@chicagobooth.edu or call +1 312.464.8732 to discuss additional group enrollment benefits, including discounted pricing.

Q. If I need to cancel, can I receive a refund?

A. You can receive a full refund up to two weeks before the program starts. The refund will be issued in the same format as originally received. Within two weeks of the program, the tuition is nonrefundable since program materials have already been shared.

Q. I need to postpone my attendance. What are my options?

A. You have the option to transfer your registration to the next scheduled live-online program. You should refer to the handbook specific to your program for the deadline to submit a transfer request. Please note that the maximum number of times you can postpone your attendance is once. Full tuition is nonrefundable if you transfer within two weeks of your initial program and subsequently request to cancel.

Q. When is payment due?

A. Payment is due prior to program commencement and prior to accessing the course platform. Since enrollment is not confirmed until full payment is received, we recommend making payment 30 days prior. We accept several payment methods: check, wire transfer, or online credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express). When you register, you will receive an email confirmation and link to an invoice.
