Cary Kochman (Panelist)
Managing Director, Co-Head of Americas M&A, UBS Investment Bank
Cary Kochman is a member of the Americas Investment Banking Executive Committee for UBS. Mr. Kochman serves as a relationship and execution M&A banker across a variety of industries. He regularly serves as an advisor to directors, special committees and management teams.
Before joining UBS in 2004, Mr. Kochman worked at Credit Suisse for 14 years where he was head of the U.S. M&A Department for his last 2 years. He holds both his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He also has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Mr. Kochman is a member of the Illinois Bar and is both a C.P.A. and C.M.A. Mr. Kochman serves as a Trustee of the Shedd Aquarium. He is also a member of The Economic Club of Chicago, The Executive’s Club of Chicago and The Commercial Club of Chicago. Mr. Kochman is also a frequent lecturer at Northwestern University’s MergerWeek.
Ian C. Radomski (Panelist)
Managing Director, Corporate Finance Group, Morgan Stanley
Ian is responsible for Morgan Stanley’s coverage of Midwest-based Financial Sponsors as well as some of the firm’s larger consumer and industrial corporate clients. Ian’s transaction experience is extensive and includes leading buy side and sell side advisory engagements; IPOs and common stock offerings; and leveraged finance and recapitalization transactions.
Ian joined Morgan Stanley in 2004 and has over 12 years of investment banking experience. Ian began his investment banking career in 1997 at Merrill Lynch (Chicago) and worked in the Industrials Group. Ian has also worked in public accounting for seven years in the San Francisco offices of Price Waterhouse and Arthur Andersen, where he was a Certified Public Accountant.
Ian received a Masters in Business Administration, with Honors, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Accounting from Miami University.
Andrew Jessen (Panelist)
Vice President, Corporate Finance, William Blair & Company
Mr. Jessen joined William Blair in 2004 and has been a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group since 2006. During his time at William Blair, Mr. Jessen has worked on a range of public and private sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, as well as public financing transactions. Before joining William Blair, Mr. Jessen worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in New York and as a consultant at Accenture and A.T. Kearney in Chicago. Mr. Jessen earned his undergraduate degree at Middlebury College and he has an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Brian J. Dettmann (Panelist)
Managing Director, Investment Banking, Morgan Joseph & Co.
Mr. Dettmann is a Managing Director in the firm's Investment Banking group and has 20 years of industry experience. Mr. Dettmann received an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a B.S. degree from Iowa State.
