The On Board conference on nonprofit board service brings together students, alumni, and nonprofit professionals to network and discuss best practices in nonprofit board service.
Event Details
Hosted by Chicago Booth's Social Enterprise Initiative, On Board is organized to speak to varying levels of professional expertise and present solutions and best practices for issues common among nonprofit organizations and their associated boards of directors.
At the 2017 On Board conference, we will be bringing back immensely popular sessions on topics including: identifying right-fit board opportunities, building a strong nonprofit brand, and shoring up strategic and financial processes.
On Board 2017 highlights include:
- Office Hours, which give nonprofit representatives the opportunity to schedule free 15-minute consultations with accountant Desmond & Ahern and law firm Quarles & Brady.
- Booth in the Boardroom sessions, during which Booth professors share insights into how research and other academic tools can be applied in the nonprofit sector. Topics to be covered include how marketing can better inform fundraising and what motivates volunteers to enlist in a cause.
- A bigger and better Nonprofit Networking Fair at which nonprofits and attendees can connect to share open board opportunities and other ways to engage.
