James Z. Li is the founder and CEO of the E. J. McKay Group, a leading Chinese investment bank active in cross-border M&A and corporate finance transactions. He is also the Chairman of Unistone Capital, the principal investment arm of E. J. McKay. James is a member of the Chicago MBA Class of 1999, holds an AB from Harvard, and an MSc. from Oxford. Prior to founding E. J. McKay, he was an investment banker with Merrill Lynch in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and a consultant with McKinsey in China.
James has also taught at Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University. He is a Trustee of the Dandelion School in Beijing, a middle school for the children of migrant workers, and active in many other social causes.
