In honor of graduation this month, Linda Ginzel, clinical professor of managerial psychology, shares words of inspiration with the class of 2022 as they embark on the next chapter of their personal and professional lives and apply what they’ve learned at Booth to make an impact in the world.
This year’s graduating class selected Professor Ginzel as the Emory Williams Teaching Award winner. The annual award honors one faculty member who demonstrates excellence in teaching through exceptional communication with students, accessibility, enthusiasm, and innovation in the classroom.
To the class of 2022,
I am honored to be selected by you as the recipient of this year’s Emory Williams Teaching Award. For more than three decades, it continues to be my privilege to be part of this amazing journey of lifelong learning at Booth and beyond.
In my own journey, one of my lifelong learning habits is to collect bits of wisdom that I learn from others. And, as I say, “if you don’t write it down it doesn’t exist,” I tend to capture these nuggets of “gist” on sticky notes placed so that like my students, I can also “be wiser, younger.”
