In partnership with Chicago Booth’s Career Services, the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation helps Booth students and alumni explore professional opportunities in the social sector.
Booth students have landed at foundations, impact-investing funds, consulting firms, startups such as LuminAID and Moneythink, and education organizations.
For students interested in entrepreneurship, Booth offers the Entrepreneurial Internship Seminar (BUS 34105), which allows first-year Full-Time MBA students to participate in a subsidized summer internship with a startup. For more information, contact the University of Chicago Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation’s Hannah Williams.
Students interested in impact investing can apply for the Rustandy Center Impact Investing Award, which provides $6,500 to support one MBA student's summer internship in impact investing. The award is part of the Karen Miller Padgett, ’93 Impact Investing Experiential Learning Program. For more information, contact Will Colegrove.
Booth also offers the Community Catalyst Fund, through which Booth MBA students pursuing internships at education, government, or nonprofit organizations can apply for a stipend to supplement their income. For more information on the Community Catalyst Fund and other sources of summer funding, visit the Summer Internship Funding page on Intranet or email Natasha Chan.
Global Talent Solutions is Booth's online resource for searching and applying for jobs with companies seeking Booth talent. It’s also the easiest way to access job listings in the social sector. For questions about GTS, email GTS Help.
