Propelling Growth and Impact in Africa

Wednesday, May 1, 6:00–9:00 p.m. GMT | The Robert Rothman, ’77, London Campus

Climate change, global uncertainty, and rising regional conflict all threaten economic opportunity in emerging markets and in sub-Saharan Africa in particular. What are some of the most promising opportunities to propel social and economic impact in Africa? Are there lessons that can be applied in other developing economies?

Join Chicago Booth Professor Pradeep Chintagunta to learn about his research on the role of marketing in economic development, and how marketing practices can affect small businesses and entrepreneurial enterprises. Following his research talk, Professor Chintagunta will moderate a discussion with Violet Busingye from Grow Movement, Kate Kuper from Bateleur Partners, and Chris Isaac from AgDevCo on the opportunities and challenges investing in growth and impact in Africa from Europe and beyond.
