WILL GOSSIN, AM ’08
Senior Associate Director of Social Entrepreneurship & Social Venture Funding, Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation
Will Gossin, AM ’08, leads development and execution of the social venture pipeline at Chicago Booth’s Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation.
Through the Edwardson Social Entrepreneurship Program, OpenImpact, and the John Edwardson, ’72, Social New Venture Challenge (SNVC), he works with students and faculty from across the university to translate promising insights into viable operating models. He advises and trains teams in foundational entrepreneurship, human-centered design, mixed-method research, and leadership skills to maximize their social impacts.
Before Booth, Gossin worked as assistant dean in the University of Chicago’s Division of Social Sciences, where he developed an urban innovation program called CivX. Through CivX, he ran research and design sprints with student groups for field-based projects in Chicago, rural Illinois, and New Delhi, India. He came to the university after cofounding an angel-funded social venture that built a donor engagement platform for nonprofits.
Gossin, who earned master’s degrees in social science and mental health counseling, has also conducted policy analysis and run a corporate innovation team for the American Institutes for Research.
Will Gossin will facilitate the "Starting Organizations/Building a Board" small group lunch.
