Chief Financial Officer
Margaret Castrovillari, ’00, is an accounting and finance professional with over 30 years of progressive financial reporting and management consulting experience. She joined AllianceChicago in 2014 and plays a strategic role in the overall management of the community health services company. As chief financial officer, Castrovillari has direct responsibility for financial, accounting, and administrative affairs and oversees day-to-day accounting, finance, treasury, human resource, budgeting/forecasting, legal and contract negotiations, member/partnership relationships, and corporate and governance compliance issues.
Prior to joining AllianceChicago, Castrovillari worked with senior management and outside consultants in implementing and administering some of the largest debt-restructuring, bankruptcy, and merger deals in the real estate and financial services industries.
In 2000, she started her own financial and management consultant business providing part-time controller and CFO services for nonprofit organizations. She has assisted early stage and established nonprofit entities with missions ranging from bringing hope and joy to children with life-threatening illnesses to advancing clean energy technologies, economic development and neighborhood stabilization, micro-lending to small businesses, and community health organizations seeking to improve the overall health and wellness of at risk communities and populations. She also co-owned and operated a wellness center that provided holistic fitness and spa services from 2005 to 2013.
Castrovillari has a BS in accounting from the University of New Orleans and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in analytic finance, strategic management and entrepreneurship.
