Are you interested in sustainability, climate change, use of natural resources, and the world around us?
New in 2018, Perspectives in Sustainability is a three-part series designed to help Booth students grapple with the most challenging issues facing our planet and to understand how MBAs use their business skills to tackle these issues.
Cohosted with Booth's Career Services, the series is led by the Rustandy Center's Sustainability Executive in Residence Karen Weigert, the first-ever chief sustainability officer for the city of Chicago and current senior fellow on global cities at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
On October 4, Weigert will lead the first session and provide a grounding in the sustainability field.

Each session will focus on different aspects of careers in sustainability and feature interactive exercises.
Topics will include:
- The basics of working in sustainability from Weigert and a panel of Booth alumni and other business leaders who found jobs in the sector
- Information about viable career paths in the sustainable energy sector, as well as opportunities to network with those working in the field
- Gaps and trends in industries that are actively seeking to become more sustainable, such as the restaurant industry
If you can’t make the October 4 session, don’t worry—the Rustandy Center is planning two more Perspectives in Sustainability sessions for the winter and spring quarters, both at the Gleacher Center downtown.
