Kilts Doctoral Fellowship ProgramThe Kilts Doctoral Fellowship Program provides marketing PhD students with a stipend to support their research efforts. Students in the marketing PhD Program at Booth focus on either consumer behavior or econometrics/quantitative methods.

The fellowship is available to PhD candidates in their fifth year of studies at Booth. In order to receive a fellowship stipend, students propose by the end of the Autumn Quarter of their fifth year. All marketing PhD students who meet the criteria receive the Kilts Doctoral Fellowship.

For the Love of Food Waste

Current PhD student Robert Sanders delved into the Nielsen data at the Kilts Center to generate insights that improved grocery store profitability for Booth alumnus Robert Mariano, ’87, founder of Mariano’s Fresh Market and CEO of Roundy’s. Sanders’s research turned into an award-winning dissertation—and landed him a marketing faculty position at the University of California San Diego.
