Hugo Bänziger, adjunct professor of finance, has both corporate and academic experience. In addition to his teaching at Booth, he is also a visiting professor at the London School of Economics and the Lee Kwan Yew Institute for Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. Also, he is a member of the board of directors of Eurex, and has held the chairman of the board position since August 2012.
Bänziger’s previous corporate experience extends to his position as chief risk officer and member of the management board of Deutsche Bank from 2006 until May 2012. Prior to his work at Deutsche Bank, he worked for Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and Credit Suisse. He started his career at the Swiss Federal Banking Commission.
Bänziger studied modern history, law, and economics at the University of Bern, and subsequently earned his doctorate in economic history from the institution.
