This panel discussed the choices the United States faces in trying to fix our long-term federal budget problems. The faculty explored the tradeoffs of adjusting taxes versus changing spending and provided some principles to use in judging alternative proposals.
Panelists were professors Steven Davis, John Huizinga, and Harald Uhlig. Anil Kashyap moderated.
