Remembering Without Regret
Bill Lucas, '02
What I remember hearing from the other classes in front of us or behind us and from faculty is that we had one of those special groups of people that just got along and enjoyed each other’s company.
There were people who would do Thursday Night Drinking Club; there was always a big group that went down to the jazz festival in New Orleans; some who would do ski trips, etc. It seemed like everyone found their group, but it wasn’t like they were exclusive. For a while, my facilitator squad took a trip together every year to places like South Beach or San Francisco. The willingness of people to socialize and have fun outside their main groups is always, to me, one of the most appealing parts of the class.
I’m excited to see people and reconnect with them, finding out what they’ve been up to, reestablishing the friendships, spending time with them, and being able to renew those bonds.
