My manager actually proposed the idea to go to MBA school. He saw a lot of potential in me, but he really felt like to help me accelerate faster, I needed some background foundations. And the Chicago Business Fellows Program was really the perfect program for that. I work at Airbnb as a user experience researcher. I’m really interested in taking courses that are directly related to my career, and Booth really allows you to create the curriculum, the right classes that are related to my field and my industry.

I really love the behavioral science and marketing classes at Booth, and Strategies of Innovation and New Product Strategy. You’re learning about the most innovative things that's coming to market, the new research studies, the new academic journal articles. Last week when I was learning about intrinsic motivations of consumers, trying to see what motivates people to do things at a higher level, because they truly believe in the idea. You’re learning every day and then you just go back to work and you’re like, “I just learned about this.”

I’m part of the Wine Club here at Booth. I just joined it to meet a lot of people that are in the Booth program. I think the one thing that’s really surprised me about Booth is it really opens up the possibilities of your future. A lot of times when you come in, you have a very small view of what your future looks like. You think you know the path, but you quickly realize like, “Oh, there's a lot more things I can actually do.” I love what I'm doing right now. I just simply love research. I’m really understanding how we can make new technologies that consumers can utilize every single day. I want to be a change agent.
