Senior Manager, Smart Grid and Dynamic Pricing Programs
Environmental issues, especially climate change, are too often regarded as niche matters. In reality, the impacts are broad, influencing natural disasters to national security, and have significant direct effects on the quality of life in our communities. For this reason, I have chosen to dedicate my career to not only mitigating climate change, but making sure that the gains from more sustainable ways of living are accessible to all. In the near term, it is my goal to apply the data-driven framework of a Booth MBA to more effectively design and implement sustainable energy programs to broaden the impact for all Illinoisans. My long-term post-MBA goal is to lead large organizations, and demonstrate a fundamental alignment between doing well (economically) and doing good (ethically) to create more sustainable cities.
Chicago Booth’s Weekend MBA couples a practical, data-driven approach—that does not ignore the human perspective—with the flexibility to immediately apply my classroom experiences to my current work. Through Booth’s multidisciplinary approach I will gain a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the many interacting factors in systems change to help me take a leadership role to scale sustainability programs effectively to optimize their economic and social value. In particular, changes to human behavior are a key component of sustainable system changes and the scholarship at Booth on behavioral economics is world renowned. I am excited to apply the learnings from leaders in the field to better design programs to make it easy for people to make the sustainable choice.
