Why SBSP?
It helped me confirm my desire to pursue an MBA in the future, while many of the workshops on leadership, managerial psychology, and negotiation skills helped me to reflect on what kind of leader I intend to be. I also enjoyed the emphasis on group work, which provided the opportunity to learn how to operate as a team.
Study at Booth
The fast pace of the courses and the academic talks gave us an idea of the quality of education at Booth and of The Chicago Approach. The different areas that we touched upon, both in and out of class, were a great taste of the life of an MBA student. Additionally, the opportunity to meet Booth alumni meant that we heard about their experience directly.
Corporate Visits
The company visits were one of the biggest highlights for me. We visited the headquarters of GrubHub, heard from the deputy mayor of Chicago at City Hall, participated in a group case study at Boston Consulting Group, and enjoyed a Chicago Cubs baseball game (and met the owner of the team). The great link between all these company visits was that they all involved meeting inspiring Booth alumni.
