It's amazing how much you can actually be involved with at any moment, and you find that at Booth there's a hundred different directions you could go. My name is Jenny Dunn. I'm from Pacific Palisades, California. I spent six years at Goldman Sachs in their Sales and Training Division. I really wanted to get as broad of an experience as I could across industries. I realized that a transition into consulting career would check that box. Certainly Booth has all of the resources that you could ever want that will help you land the internship and the full-time job that you are interested in, but I found that the most meaningful experiences I've had at Booth have been outside of the classroom.

One of my favorite student groups was actually the Business Solutions Group. It provides an opportunity to work with local companies. We got to do data analysis, work in a small team, come up with recommendations, and then ultimately present those to the client. It's allowed me to be really confident when I went into consulting recruiting, and I truly have them to thank for landing a job in consulting.

I played on the varsity women's soccer team at Northwestern. I've been really happy that I could channel sort of that existing interest in athletics to a number of the social activities at Booth. We've maintained a really close connection, and it feels like those are the bonds that were going to be some of my most lasting friendships.

CWiB is Chicago Women in Business, and it's one of the largest student groups on campus. It's a great opportunity to begin networking in a really early stage in your time at Booth and speak with women who are genuinely there to help. The power of that network is a huge reason that makes the MBA an invaluable experience, because you really feel like you can then take some risks in your career, knowing that you've got the support of a really phenomenal Booth network behind you.
