International Development Group
Who Are We?
International Development Group (formerly Chicago Global Citizens) is a student group that utilizes the skills and resources of the Chicago Booth community to help address social and economic needs in developing countries. Our members share an interest in international development issues such as universal education, child and maternal health, end poverty and hunger, gender equality, combat to HIV/malaria, environmental sustainability and global partnership.
What Do We Do?
The core of our activity are meaningful projects that we believe serve as catalysts for addressing developing issues. Projects typically take one quarter and involve a group of three to five students.
How can you get involved?
The academic year promises a wide variety of opportunities for participation including:
- Leading or participating in a project team
- Traveling to and making an impact on a developing country during spring break
- Planning and executing events
- Marketing and branding
- Helping with club logistics and operations (website, membership, corporate sponsorships)
As your International Development Group co-chairs, we look forward to working with you! Please feel free to contact us with questions and to further explore our website for more information.
