Atsushi Yamazaki , Current Student
ATsushi Prior to joining Chicago Booth, Atsushi earned his Master of Engineering degree from the Tokyo University of Science. Atsushi’s professional work experience includes 3 years at Morgan Stanley as an IT Engineer in the Fixed Income Division and 6 years at J.P. Morgan as an Investment Banking Analyst. Atsushi also created his own non-profit organization, “Happy Island” to support the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami victims. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, playing soccer, running marathons, and playing the guitar. With a goal of conquering the seven summits, he has finished 3 so far: Africa’s Kilimanjaro, Europe’s Elbrus, and Oceania’s Kosciuszko.

Lui Miyake , Current Student
Lui, Current Student After having lived 17 years in Thailand, 3 years in the UK and 6 years in Japan, Chicago is Lui’s fourth adventure, where he is in his first year of pursuing an MBA. Prior to Booth, Lui worked in finance at Sojitz Corporation, rotating from derivatives to debt financing, and eventually landing in investment management. He’s keen on pursuing a career in social impact for businesses, especially in the education sector, and has thus joined the BoothEd group. In his spare time, he plays rugby.

Ryohei Yamanaka , Current Student
Ryohei After seven years as a Banker in Tokyo and New York, Ryohei came to Chicago Booth enrolled in both the MBA and Masters in Computer Science joint-degree program, realizing the importance of technical literacy for business leaders. He has enjoyed every part of his life at Booth so far – active dialogues in classrooms, debates on innovative business ideas in case competitions, and his trip to Sri Lanka with amazing classmates, to name a few.

Ryuhei Kondo , Current Student
Ryuhei, Current Student Ryuhei is a first year student at Chicago Booth. His concentrations are in strategic management and finance. In addition, he has joined the GPHAP program to learn about healthcare business and policy in an interdisciplinary way. Prior to Booth, for 6 years in Tokyo, he was engaged in transactions and post-merger integrations of various investments in the medical equipment sector. He spends his free time by cooking and hiking with friends.

Satoko Watanabe , Current Student
Satoko, Current Student Satoko is a first-year student. She received her degree of Bachelor of Law and Juris Doctor from University of Tokyo. Prior to coming to Booth, she worked in the public sector in Japan.

Tatsuro Hanada , Current Booth Student
Tatsuro, Current Student Tatsuro is a first-year student enrolled in the joint degree program of MBA and Masters in Computer Science at Booth. He has professional experiences as a controller at a Japanese securities firm, where he joined a corporate accelerator program to explore new businesses through FinTech. Having a long-term goal to make Japanese financial markets creative and innovative, he is engaged in various activities related to FinTech, data analytics, and entrepreneurship at Booth.

Jo Yumikake , Current Student
Jo, Current Student Jo is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Finance and Strategic Management. He received his B.S. in Contemporary Literature from the University of Tokyo. Prior to Booth, Jo was an account manager at Hiroshima Bank (a regional financial institution in Hiroshima), where he managed relationships with local small/medium-sized enterprises, executed financial due diligence for distressed companies, and advised clients on how to formulate revival plans.

Kaori Takikawa , Current Student
Kaori, Current Student Kaori is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Strategic Management, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. Kaori received a bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Tokyo. Before Booth, she lived in Tokyo and worked in the public financial service for about 5 years.
