Students participate in industry treks each year in the US and around the world to learn about the industries of interest to them by meeting with alumni and professionals in a wide range of fields. Gustavo Centeno is a first-year student at Booth and a native of Panama City, Panama. He moved to the United States over 12 years ago to attend the University of Pennsylvania and earned a double major in Economics and Political Science. After Penn, he moved to New York City and started his career at UBS AG within the Wealth Management Division where he became a Director and served as a Client Advisor for Latin American clients for 8 years. At Booth where he is pursuing concentrations in Econometrics, Accounting and Analytical Finance. He’s an active member of the Real Estate Club, Private Equity Club and Investment Management Club as well as several sports and student life clubs. During the winter break, he participated in the Investment Management West Coast Industry Trek visiting approximately 12 firms during the trip.
Viviana Limon is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Finance, Accounting, and Strategic Management. Viviana received a bachelor's degree with honors in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to Chicago Booth, Viviana spent the first two years of her career as Project Manager at Stanford University, conducting academic research on early language acquisition and development, and more recently, as a Senior Program Associate with Larta Institute, a consulting firm for early-stage technology startup companies. This summer, Viviana will be interning at J.P. Morgan in New York.
Herbert is a first-year student pursing concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Entrepreneurship. Prior to Booth, Herbert was an Assistant Vice President in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s (BAML) Commercial Real Estate Banking Group. Before BAML, Herbert worked for a privately held real estate developer in Durham, NC. Herbert received his BA in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MS in Real Estate from New York University. Prior to his real estate career, Herbert was a Non-Commissioned Officer in the US Army, and served during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In addition to serving as part of the admissions committee, Kim works with the operations team on global outreach and events. Prior to Chicago Booth, Kim worked in The University of Chicago's Career Advancement office as a career advisor, advising undergraduate students within the UChicago Careers in Business program. Kim earned her bachelor of arts degree in hospitality and business at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Additionally, Kim has a master’s of arts degree in counseling for higher education and student affairs from Montclair State University.
