Senior Associate Director, Career Services
Fern O’Neill is the Senior Associate Director of Career Services for full-time students. She is responsible for developing and delivering career management programming as well as coaching students on all aspects of their job search. She has worked at Chicago Booth since 2007. Prior to joining the Chicago Booth, Fern gained experience across a wide range of Consumer Package Goods marketing roles in both Chicago and New York. Additionally, she worked in a Marketing training role where she trained and coached marketers to build their marketing and leadership skills. She received her undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and her MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Director Kilts Center for Marketing
Katie Claussen Bell is director of the James M. Kilts Center for Marketing. Bell began working for the University of Chicago in 2005, first at the Harris School of Public Policy - Cultural Policy Center and then at Chapin Hall, a policy research center that focuses on children, families, and their communities. Bell graduated from Saint Mary's College (in Notre Dame, Indiana) in 2001 and launched her professional career at CNA, where she worked in corporate marketing and communications roles. She then earned a master of arts in sociology from Loyola University Chicago in 2006.
Associate Director, Employer Development
Jenna Hess is on the Employer Relations team in Career Services. She is responsible for developing and furthering company relationships within consulting and consumer industries, including advertising & marketing, business design, CPG, healthcare, hospitality, and retail & apparel. Jenna is frequently on the road, meeting with companies at their headquarters to discuss recruiting strategy and Booth talent, and has developed campus relationships with firms including Genentech, IDEO, Kohl’s, Nestle, and Nike. Prior to joining Booth in 2013, she spent six years working in corporate finance, during which she was on Baxter Healthcare’s undergraduate recruiting team and conducted just-in-time hiring for Hub International’s finance team.
Jenna has an undergraduate degree in economics and political science from Indiana University Bloomington, and recently completed Booth’s Executive Program for Emerging Leaders.
In addition to serving as part of the admissions committee, Kim works with the operations team on global outreach and events. Prior to Chicago Booth, Kim worked in The University of Chicago's Career Advancement office as a career advisor, advising undergraduate students within the UChicago Careers in Business program. Kim earned her bachelor of arts degree in hospitality and business at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Additionally, Kim has a master’s of arts degree in counseling for higher education and student affairs from Montclair State University.
Sam is a first-year student pursuing a concentration in Marketing Management. Sam grew up in New Hampshire and majored in Psychology at Brown University. Prior to coming to Booth, she worked in management consulting in the government space in Washington, DC. This summer, Sam will going to Nestlé as a marketing intern.
Prior to Booth, Patrick held roles in engineering, project management, and strategy/operations at ExxonMobil in Los Angeles. At Booth, he decided to pursue a concentration primarily in Marketing, where he completed an internship this past summer at L'Oreal in NYC where he was a brand marketing intern on the Lancôme brand. Patrick is also a co-chair of several student groups, including the Marketing Group, Retail and Luxury Group, and Giving Something Back (community service group). After Booth, he will be heading back to L'Oreal for a full-time opportunity.
Brian graduated from Ohio State University in 2009 with a degree in Finance. Shortly after, he took a job with Accenture's Management Consulting practice in New York City. While there, he worked on various types of projects, from supply chain/operations to change management, in a variety of industries, including healthcare, consumer packaged goods, and telecommunications. He left Accenture in 2013 to pursue acting and writing full-time, publishing two Young Adult LGBT Fiction novels and appearing in various commercials and television shows. At Booth, he is focusing on Marketing and will be interning with PepsiCo in New York this summer.
Christina is a first-year MBA student pursuing concentrations in Marketing Management and General Management. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Christina received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Northwestern University. Prior to attending Chicago Booth, Christina worked in client service analytics for The Nielsen Company, followed by a stint in product development and marketing for American Greetings. This summer, Christina will be interning in brand management at Pepsico in Chicago.
