Fern O'neil , Senior Associate Director, Career Services
Fern Oneil Fern O’Neill is the Senior Associate Director of Career Services for full-time students. She is responsible for developing and delivering career management programming as well as coaching students on all aspects of their job search. She has worked at Chicago Booth since 2007. Prior to joining the Chicago Booth, Fern gained experience across a wide range of Consumer Package Goods marketing roles in both Chicago and New York. Additionally, she worked in a Marketing training role where she trained and coached marketers to build their marketing and leadership skills. She received her undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and her MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Mef Shebi , Associate Director, Career Services
Mef Shebi Mef Shebi is an associate director of Career Services for full-time students and has been working at Chicago Booth since December 2015. He is responsible for developing and delivering career management programming, as well as coaching students on all aspects of their job search. Prior to joining Chicago Booth, Mef was a career advisor at University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where he has served full-time MBAs in a dual coach and employer relations role since 2012. Additionally, he has a diverse experience working as a management consultant in the healthcare, technology, energy and emerging markets sectors. He received his undergraduate degree in Systems Engineering & Mathematics from the University of Virginia and his graduate degree in Education Policy from Harvard University.

Kevin Xu , Student
Kevin Xu Kevin is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Finance and Accounting. Born in China and raised in Southeast Michigan, Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a juris doctorate degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to coming to Chicago Booth, Kevin spent several years working as a corporate attorney in Chicago, advising clients on a broad range of M&A and debt-raising transactions. This summer, Kevin will be interning in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in New York.

Ana Goellner , Student
Ana Goellner Ana is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Finance and Accounting. She received her B.A. in Business Administration and a Masters degree in International Trade. Prior to business school, Ana worked for the Brazilian Government for three years at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and four years ago, she started her own company in the agribusiness producing certified soybean seeds. This summer, Ana will be interning at Itau BBA Investment Bank in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Johnny Harris , Student
Johnny Harris Johnny is a second-year student pursuing concentrations in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Economics. Johnny received a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in accounting and finance from the University of Richmond. Prior to coming to Chicago Booth, Johnny spent time in both public accounting at KPMG, LLP and in a corporate finance role at a publicly traded commercial real estate finance company. This past summer, Johnny interned at Microsoft, in a corporate finance role.

Nancy Cheney , Student
Nancy Cheney Nancy is a second year MBA student at Chicago Booth pursuing concentrations in Finance and Economics. After graduating from Wake Forest University with a BS in Mathematical Economics, Nancy spent 4 years at Wells Fargo working in Sales & Trading in Charlotte, NC. She spent the past summer interning at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in both New York & Chicago and will be returning to the investor desk advising ultra high net worth clients in Chicago full time upon graduation. At Booth, Nancy is a co-chair of the Investment Management Group, an Admissions Fellow as well as an active member of CWIB and the Ski & Snowboard Club.

Kimberly Ge , Admissions
Kim Massesa In addition to serving as part of the admissions committee, Kim works with the operations team on global outreach and events. Prior to Chicago Booth, Kim worked in The University of Chicago's Career Advancement office as a career advisor, advising undergraduate students within the UChicago Careers in Business program. Kim earned her bachelor of arts degree in hospitality and business at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Additionally, Kim has a master’s of arts degree in counseling for higher education and student affairs from Montclair State University.

Melanie Scarlata , Associate Director, Employer Relations, Career Services
Melanie Scarlata As a member of the Employer Relations team since 2012, Melanie is responsible for cultivating and expanding company relationships on behalf of Booth students and alumni. Melanie works with organizations within agribusiness & chemicals, energy, investment banking, private equity, real estate and the social impact space. Melanie joined career services in 2004. She managed the campus recruiting process and subsequently worked with the coaching team to develop and implement career management programming. Prior to Booth, she worked for a LaSalle Street proprietary trading firm. Melanie earned a BA in Economics and Political Science from Loyola University of Chicago.

Miguel Aleman , Student
Miguel Aleman Miguel is an MBA candidate at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a co-chair of the Investment Banking Group, where he focuses on sales and trading recruiting activities. Last Summer, Miguel interned both as a portfolio manager at Dimensional Fund Advisors in Santa Monica, and in the institutional equities group at Baird in Milwaukee. Before business school Miguel spent six years at Goldman Sachs in New York City, where he worked as a sovereign credit analyst and a credit derivative risk manager. Miguel holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In his spare time, Miguel enjoys watching college sports and working on cars.
