Fern O'Neill – Senior Associate Director, Career Services
Fern O'Neill is an associate director of Career Services for full-time students and has been working at Chicago Booth since 2007. She is responsible for developing and delivering career management programming, as well as coaching students on all aspects of their job search. Prior to joining Chicago Booth, Fern gained experience across a wide range of consumer package goods marketing roles in both Chicago and New York. Additionally, she worked in a marketing training role where she trained and coached marketers to build their marketing and leadership skills. She received her undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Illinois and her MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Janice Farrar - Associate Director, Career Services, Employer Relations
Janice Farrar has been a member of the employer-facing team of the Career Services relationship management team at Chicago Booth since 1998. In her role, Janice cultivates relationships with firms that have an established presence among students and alumni, including companies that participate in the campus recruiting process. Prior to joining Chicago Booth, Farrar spent three and a half years at Bank of America, where she was instrumental in developing a quality excellence program for the Document Processing Center. In her time at Booth, Janice has devoted herself to maintaining the high quality reputation of Chicago Booth. She is primarily responsible for maintaining established relationships with firms within the following industries: advertising, consulting and professional services, consumer (consumer packaged goods, food/beverage/tobacco, hospitality, retail), healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and biopharma.
Kimberly Massesa - Associate Director of Admissions Outreach
In addition to serving as part of the admissions committee, Kim works with the operations team on global outreach and events. Prior to Chicago Booth, Kim worked in the University of Chicago's Career Advancement office as a career advisor, advising undergraduate students within the UChicago Careers in Business program. Kim earned her bachelor of arts degree in hospitality and business at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Additionally, Kim has a master’s of arts degree in counseling for higher education and student affairs from Montclair State University.
Stephen Yi – Current Student
Stephen is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Strategic Management and Economics. Born in Korea and raised in Canada, Stephen received a bachelor's degree with honors in mathematics from the University of Waterloo. Prior to coming to Chicago Booth, Stephen spent the first three years of his career as a senior associate in the financial audit and advisory practice of BDO LLP in Toronto. This summer, Stephen will be interning at Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Operations practice in Chicago.
Cedric Soh – Current Student
Cedric is a first-year student at Chicago Booth. He served two years in the Singapore Armed Forces conducting homeland security operations. While attending Singapore Management University for his undergraduate degree, Cedric worked with the largest scuba diving firm in the country, and he also ran an impact investing firm in Vietnam. Post-graduation, Cedric worked for the public sector leading technology projects. He will be pursuing an internship with a top-tier consulting firm in Singapore this summer. At Booth, he serves as the Singapore Country Captain, while being an active member in the Armed Forces Group, the Management Consulting Group, and the Booth Technology Group.
Felix Heurich – Current Student
Felix is a first-year MBA student pursuing concentrations in Finance, Economics, and Entrepreneurship. Felix holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim and a MSc. in International Finance from HEC Paris. Prior to Booth, he was a consultant at McKinsey, advising clients on a broad set of management problems across Europe and the Middle East. This summer, Felix will return to McKinsey to support restructuring projects in Europe and the US.
Daniela Melgar – Current Student
Daniela is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Strategic management and Managerial and organizational behavior. Born and raised in Peru, Daniela received a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad del Pacifico. Prior to coming to Chicago Booth, Daniela started her career as a financial auditor at EY, and then spent several years working in Financial Reporting in mining companies. This summer, Daniela is looking to intern in a Corporate Strategy role.
