Dougan Scholars are required to complete three foundations courses at Booth: Financial Accounting, Microeconomics (or Competitive Strategy) and Statistics. Exceptions will be made for students who have completed a certain level of Economics or Statistics in the College. Students who have completed Econ 20100 and achieved at least a B will be required to complete either a microeconomics class or Competitive Strategy at Booth. Students who have not completed Econ 20100 in the College (or have taken Econ 20100 but have not achieved a grade of B or better) will be required to take a microeconomics course at Booth. Students who have completed Stat 23400 and achieved at least a B are not required to complete a Statistics class at Booth. Instead, students can take other Booth electives to count toward the six course requirement. All students are required to complete Financial Accounting at Booth.
Note that Dougan Scholars may enroll in a maximum of two college-level sections of Booth courses. If there is an available MBA section, that is the section you should plan to take, as some college-level sections may not count as pre-requisites for other Booth courses.
